Digging Deeper into today’s Bible verses & themes

1.        The theme of Rom 12:1-2 is gospel obedience.  If you want to do some good reading to help you understand how to grow in a lifestyle of grace-empowered holiness here are a few books that have helped me the most:  a) Holiness by J.C. Ryle, b) Future Grace by John Piper, & c) The Discipline of Grace: God's Role and Our Role in the Pursuit of Holiness  by Jerry Bridges.  Of course the best thing of all to do is read & pray your way through the whole Bible again & again.  No book is better than Romans!

2.        I share below a little chart that is the fruit of my study in Romans these last months (& which our secretary created on Publisher/ thanks!).  It is an overview of some of the many mercies of the gospel expounded for us in Romans.  O might we revel in the rainbow of glories that make up God’s grace.  Nothing else is as satisfying.  Nothing else will transform us.
