A GLIMPSE OF THE PAST...
In
the fall of 1992, seven families began praying for a new church, where the
Gospel of Jesus Christ would be passionately proclaimed. They sought a
congregational form of government, where members could focus on the
important goal of reaching the lost for the Lord.
In September of 1993, New Hope Evangelical
Free Church had its first public worship service. There were 87 in
attendance, including many college students. The first service was shaky,
but promising!
Since then, God has richly blessed us with
new members, regular attendees, and an ever-growing number of college
students! In the fall of 1994, Jeff Whitt became our first pastor, and our
excitement in experiencing and sharing our hope in Christ continues to grow!
